Overview
The Sugarloaf music program is in its sixth decade in the Sierra mountains!- The first camp session offers Intermediate, Concert and Symphonic bands, and the Vocal Ensemble singing major.
- The second session offers Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble, and Vocal Ensemble in vocal singing.
- Instructors for both sessions include current and former El Dorado County teachers. Each class has two instructors and most majors are conducted outdoors, providing a unique learning environment to campers. Students have the opportunity to learn from new teachers and to play and sing music with campers from schools throughout El Dorado County and beyond. Students work toward the final performance on the last day of camp which is open to the public.
